Baldur's Gate 3 est en fait plus populaire aujourd'hui que l'année de sa sortie.

Alright, we’re well aware we’re being played at this point, but the steady drip of release facts about Baldur's Gate 3 are just too fun to not cover. This week, we’re finding out that Baldur’s Gate 3 is actually being played more now than in its year of release.
Nouvelles en bref
- Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to defy all odds by increasing its following far after release
- It cements the game as a gaming classic
- Mod and Honor mode likely helped the game stay relevant
Why is this impressive? It’s extremely common, if not expected, for single-player games to drop off massively in the years following their release. It’s not hard to figure out why this would be; people have finished the story mode and they’ve moved on. So it always stands out when a game manages to defy that usual rule and cement itself as one of the all-time greats of gaming.
Selon le Michael Douse, Larian Studios’ director of publishing, Baldur’s Gate 3 has had 3% more daily peak concurrents, 20% more daily active s, and has even seen a 61% rise in Steam Deck players during 2024. This is despite the game releasing in 2023, to massive acclaim.
Now, there are a number of factors that will have helped the game to reach this lofty height. Top of the list is the fact mod only just arrived in September, so it’s likely the Gaters (is that what we call them?) are still only just really getting to grips with all of the new and wild mods available to them. Also, Larian hasn’t been shy with adding new fun for fans, like the Honor mode.
However, it’s important to note that Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t a game with an ongoing content schedule or any sort of DLC planned. So this is all there’s ever going to be, and players love that and are fine with it. Baldur’s Gate 3 can truly the list of great games that will be continued to be played for years to come.
